Restart WAMP – Green W
No green W – Worse & needs to be returned for further investigation
If the W is orange, then not all services have started successfully. Probably MySQL has the issue.
Left click orange W, MySQL, MySQL Log. Scroll to the bottom, may read something like:
190709 12:05:13 [ERROR] Binlog has bad magic number; It’s not a binary log file that can be used by this version of MySQL
190709 12:05:13 [ERROR] Can’t init tc log
190709 12:05:13 [ERROR] Aborting
To solve this issue, go to:
C:\WAMP\bin\mysql\mysql5.5.16\data
rename the file “mysql-bin.index” to something different, then restart WAMP. Should now get Green W.
